Wednesday, April 8- from Belarado to Agès- 25km. We had a few km of climbing, but mostly gradual, so not so bad. The walk was very picturesque, but unfortunately fog took over and we couldn't see much shortly after starting out. Here are a few pictures that I did take.
Sunrise this morning. We thought that it would burn off the fog a little quicker than it did.
Our climb up one of the hills.

Difficult to see, but a pretty steep climb. Ron had to do it twice as he forgot his map book in the town.

Once the sun came out, it got pretty warm, but it is spring so the winds are still cool. We bought sandwiches for lunch. I asked for vegetable, but they are few and far between. The guy shoes me the inside of the sandwich. I thought that it was mushrooms and something else, so I said, sure. Monique wasn't really sure what she was getting and Rémi stick to an egg sandwich. Ron, well the more meat, the better life is.

No, it wasn't mushrooms. It was sardines- got my quota of Omeg 3 today. It wasn't as bad as it sounds.

Did you guess Ron's? 3 sausages.
Rémi eating his egg sandwich and Monique hasn't opened hers yet. It was some sort of pork meat. So much of that in Spain.

The rest of the day's walk was not very special. We went through a deforestation area, so tractor made roads. We arrived in Agès around 3:45 and checked into the Albergue. It's nice. We hand washed some clothes and saw the village in about 3 minutes. The population is 60 people so not much happening. Nice and quiet. We had a drink outside and now we are waiting for supper. Here are a few extra pictures of the day.

I had my bg forwarded to the town before Arès so we picked it up and I proceeded to carry it. I needed help for the last 1 km so Ron positioned it on the front of his body.
A last look at the snowy mountains.

Notice the bench!  Rémi has obviously been losing weight! This is where we had our drink-cute bar.
