Thursday, April 23. The sun has come up.again. It should be around 20-21 degrees. The gang will meet up with me later today. They are walking from Triacastela to Sarria, about 25 km.

Monique and Ron with St. James.

On the road today.

Monique and Rémi and St.James

The stairway that we walked up to get to our albergue. This brings people to the old part of town. We settled into the hostel. It's always nice to have a room of four. We've gotten used to who snores, snorts, gets up to pee, etc. I won't tell who does what, but let just say that I'm not guilty of any of those things, but that one of the females snores as does one of the males. The other male gets up to pee.....
We walked up from our albergue to find an authentic Italian restaurant. They claimed to have homemade sangria. Wow, did they ever. We all had two glasses, yum, yum. Monique and Rémi shared an awesome pizza and started with a capering salad. Ron and I had salad and penne arrabiatta. Dessert was cheesecake or chocolate. We both shared one of each. Sitting near us were German teachers, Harold and another guy. They brought a group of 8-10 students to complete the final 100km. Rémi had Canadian pins for all of them. At another table there was a trio of friends. One now lives in New Zealand, one in the UK, ne the other somewhere in Spain. Really nice women. Finally, Andy and Jacques joined the groups. Andy will wait for his wife and son who are joining him for the final leg of the camino. Jacques will probably finish on Tuesday with Ron and Rèmi. (Ron has my camera and I didn't upload our supper time pictures of everyone).
