Saturday night- Logroño was hopping tonight. We walked the Main Street forever. It was filled with Easter revellers. We decided on a great restaurant. Our waitress could speak English so it made things much easier. She suggested a very nice red wine and our meals were amazing, especially Monique, Rèmi, and I. We all had fish ( cod and sole). It came with grilled vegetables, yum. Ron chose pork and it was pretty boring, with fries. Oh yeah, had a hard time finding accommodations-so many pilgrims and tourists. Finally at our third try we hit the jackpot and it was really nice with great facilities. We often meet up with the same pilgrims so we try to communicate the best that we can. Some are Korean, Dutch, lots of Spanish speaking, Italians, and the ones we speak with the most are from the UK and France.
Amazing cod and grilled veggies.

Easter Sunday- from Logroño to Najera- 29.1km today. It was sunny but windy, so kept things cool enough. There were some up hills and downhills, but nothing too severe. Unfortunately I noticed early on that my heel wasn't feeling right. By the end of the walk I had a hard time putting weight on my foot. Monique, my therapist figured I had plantar fasciitis after googling my symptoms, we realized that it was so. Monique and I headed off to the Farmacia to buy an insole for my boot and the boys went off to pick up some food. We also kept on running into Peter, from Ireland. We asked him to come for supper with us. Restaurants only open at 8pm for supper so we had no choice.

Such a beautiful day.
