Saint-Jean-Pied-de -Port to Roncesvalles- this hike was 29 km through the valleys. We climbed 1400m and came down 500m. this town is at 950m. The day started at 7am and we arrived at our destination just after 3 pm. It was cloudy but unfortunately it started raining around noon and it is still raining now at 7pm. The walk up the steep hills was an amazing challenge, probably the biggest physically for us. More to come, I'm sure. Here are a few pictures of the scenery.

It is definitely sheep country in the mountains.
